About vWorld

vWorld is a technical blog and knowledge hub focused on VMware Cloud Foundation, private cloud, virtualization, automation, and modern infrastructure engineering.

The goal of vWorld is simple: to share practical, hands-on knowledge for engineers, administrators, and architects who design, build, automate, and operate VMware-based environments.

Here you will find real-world guides, lab scenarios, troubleshooting notes, architecture explanations, and automation examples based on technologies such as VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, VCF Automation, Kubernetes, and related infrastructure platforms.

About Me

My name is Łukasz Tworek. I am an IT consultant, advisory IT specialist, system administrator, and senior infrastructure engineer with a strong focus on virtualization, private cloud, and automation.

I hold a Master’s degree in IT from the Silesian University, where my thesis focused on using virtualization to install and run system services. Since then, virtualization and cloud infrastructure have become the core areas of my professional work.

Over the years, I have worked in different technical roles, including field engineer, system administrator, build engineer, consultant, and infrastructure architect. I have supported customers with server technology deployments, managed large-scale virtualized environments, and worked on cloud and software-defined data center projects.

One of the key environments I supported comprised thousands of virtual machines and hundreds of hosts, giving me deep practical experience operating enterprise-scale VMware platforms.

What I Focus On

On vWorld, I write mainly about:

  • VMware Cloud Foundation
  • vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi
  • NSX networking and security
  • vSAN and storage architecture
  • VCF Automation and Aria Automation
  • Kubernetes on VMware platforms
  • Infrastructure automation
  • GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Homelab scenarios
  • Certification study notes and practical learning paths

The content is written from an engineer’s perspective. I focus not only on how a feature works, but also on what needs to be planned, validated, automated, and troubleshooted in real environments.

Why vWorld Exists

Modern infrastructure is becoming more complex. Private cloud platforms combine compute, storage, networking, security, automation, Kubernetes, and operations into one integrated ecosystem.

vWorld was created to make this complexity easier to understand.

Instead of only repeating documentation, I try to show practical implementation paths, decision points, configuration steps, and lessons learned from real engineering work and lab environments.

My goal is to help others learn faster, avoid common mistakes, and build more reliable VMware-based private cloud platforms.

Beyond Technology

Outside of IT, photography is one of my biggest hobbies. It helps me slow down, observe details, and look at the world from a different perspective.
