VMworld 2019 - few words after

VMworld 2019 was the first for me. From the very beginning, as soon as I entered the conference area, I was quite impressed but in turn.

VMworld2019 took place between 4 and 7 November in Barcelona. This conference aims to gather people with the same passions as well as to allow a very large increase in their own knowledge and allow smaller IT companies to find solutions for themselves or to advertise.

The whole conference consists of Workshops in which we have the opportunity to delve into a specific product, from thematic sessions, Hand on Lab where anyone can practice topics in the environment, 1: 1 session with espresso, the main session in which Pat Gelsinger presents the whole world in what direction IT and small sessions will develop in various parts of the entire hall complex. An additional element of the conference is the so-called Solution Exchange where we have the opportunity to familiarize with third-party products and take a few gadgets home.

This year’s main session was devoted to new products such as Project Pacific, Tanzu, Mission Control, Project Galeon and the latest version of the vRealize Suite solution, which was already previously featured.

Personally, I am very impressed with the whole undertaking, each of almost 14 thousand participants found something for themselves, everyone could pick up a backpack, bid and T-shirt prepared by the organizers, and in the education department you could pick up pins confirming the highest level of certification you have.

Over 5000 labs were also delivered throughout the conference, which allowed participants to improve their skills. New at this conference were Labs, which were performed on time, individually or in teams. For the winning team in the tournament which was played on a cup basis, the organizer prepared a MacBook Pro and therefore not a small prize.

We had positions, VMware Champios, VMware Comunities, the aforementioned VMware Educations and Cloud City. The only place I could not visit was VMware Alumni because it is an area intended for participants of VMworld who have already been at the conference at least 3 times.

I personally, although I was not an Alumnus, I met many people with whom I exchanged e-mails many times, I met people with whom I could talk on topics of interest to me, I could ask experts questions and the knowledge I brought from the conference is very important for me because it will allow me to be even better at my daily work.

I hope that although it was my first VMworld it wasn’t my last.
